It's happening as we speak. Thousands of children enrolled in Broward County schools are being shuffled from one classroom to another, nearly two months into the school year, to make sure the district meets the state's class size rules.

Some parents have expressed concern that their children are being moved out of honors or advanced classes and into regular classes (or, in one case, physical education ). The full story on the cases we've looked at so far is a bit more complicated, as I tried to explain in today's article.

If your child has been moved from an advanced course into a regular one, we want to hear from you. It's not supposed to be happening, but when 11,000 kids get their schedules changed, there are bound to be (what should we call them?) anomalies.
