The Nation's Report Card: Grade 12 Reading and Mathematics 2009 has been released.  In this report, the National Assessment of Education Progress (NAEP) provides the only  ongoing, nationally representative measure of what America's 12th grade students know  and can do.

For the first time, this year's 12th grade report card includes state-level 

results for 11 pioneering states-Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa,  Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, South Dakota, and West Virginia-which  volunteered to administer the state-level assessment.
