The Alachua County School Board has announced it will alternate meeting times in an effort to encourage parents and community members to participate.
The first meetings of the month will convene at the current 6 p.m. time. The second meeting, held on the third Tuesday of the month, now will start at 7 p.m., beginning with the Jan. 18 meeting.
Although School Board Chair Barbara Sharpe said the later start time did not affect the number of attendees, member Gunnar Paulson said constituents indicated they preferred the later start time while he was on the campaign trail."
